Job Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and communicating complex cross-functional business requirements and process flows, performing gap analysis, and driving the development of technical specifications. You will work closely with technical and non-technical teams to translate functional plans into technical plans, validate high-level designs, and inspect detailed designs. As a Functional Analyst, you will be the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that our systems and applications meet the needs of our customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and communicate complex cross-functional business requirements and process flows
- Perform gap analysis between as-is and to-be processes, identifying areas for continuous process improvement
- Drive the development of technical specifications by collaborating with technical and non-technical teams
- Translate functional plans into technical plans, validate high-level designs, and inspect detailed designs
- Plan, develop, and execute testing protocols, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing
- Perform systems and data analysis to understand functional design requirements and determine how the system should function
- Assist colleagues in developing and fostering the skills necessary to understand application concepts and tool suites
- Manage, define, drive, and execute the implementation of configurations across applications and interfaces
- Identify and resolve issues, anticipating problems before they occur or escalate
- Develop and ensure adherence to standards, best practices, services, and patterns
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of SAP Ariba experience
- A minimum of 3 years of functional analysis or similar experience, with a commitment to applying relevant skills and knowledge to meet expectations
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze and provide solutions quickly
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and effectively engage with people at all levels of the organization
- Proven strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- A strong work ethic, demonstrated attention to detail, and excellent time management skills
- A history of successful execution, delivery of projects, and working cross-functionally with business and IS teams
- Previous experience in an Agile environment
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience with SAP or other ERP implementation projects
- 2-5 years of arenaflex business knowledge
- Proficiency in Google products, such as email, spreadsheet, document, and presentation
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow (Carts+) Portfolio and Program Management module
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft or Ariba software/systems
