About the Role
This exciting opportunity is part of the Corporate Affairs Team within the Government Affairs Division at blithequark. As a Government and Corporate Affairs Customer Service Specialist, you will play a vital role in promoting and selling air travel on blithequark, preparing itineraries, computing fares, issuing refunds, and preparing and issuing tickets. You will also be responsible for answering inquiries regarding general travel information and resolving customer problems in a professional and courteous manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell air travel on blithequark to customers, identifying their needs and providing personalized solutions
- Prepare itineraries, compute fares, issue refunds, and prepare and issue tickets in a timely and efficient manner
- Answer inquiries regarding general travel information, including flight schedules, routes, and travel requirements
- Resolve customer problems in a mutually beneficial manner, using excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Communicate with customers over the phone, researching passenger complaints, advising of cancelled or delayed flights, and providing updates on new rules, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless customer experiences
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, experience, and skills. The minimum qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, communications, or hospitality, or equivalent experience/training
- Preferred qualifications include experience in customer service, sales, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the air travel industry
- Ability to demonstrate excellent leadership, organizational, and customer contact skills, with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer experiences
- Knowledge of Native SABRE or similar reservation systems, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Ability to be resourceful and creative in immediate problem resolution, with a strong sense of initiative and good judgment
