About the Role
As an IT Consultant at Workwarp, you'll be working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of cloud solutions for our clients. Your expertise will be crucial in troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining network security, and collaborating with engineering teams to design and deploy enterprise-grade solutions. This is a role that demands not just technical prowess but also excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and configure air-gapped cloud solutions, such as Google Distributed Cloud Hosted (GDCH), ensuring they meet the client's specific needs
- Manage and maintain Operations Center (OC) IT infrastructure, including local workstations, IT equipment, and infrastructure servers
- Troubleshoot technical problems, coordinating with engineering teams when necessary to resolve complex issues
- Ensure the security and stability of the operations center, adhering to Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and other hardening practices
- Perform virtual maintenance tasks, such as patching, and ensure the uptime of necessary physical equipment
- Be responsible for network infrastructure, including LAN and WAN environments, and manage user accounts effectively
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you'll need a strong technical background coupled with excellent interpersonal skills. Here are the essential and preferred qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- ~5 years of experience with Linux and Windows technologies, and a strong understanding of compute infrastructure and cloud solutions
- Active US Government Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with polygraph
- Experience working in a customer-focused, fast-changing environment
- Knowledge of enterprise-grade operating systems, Kubernetes, and network administration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Google Cloud technologies, including Google Distributed Cloud Hosted (GDCH)
- Familiarity with data center operations and management
- Understanding of AD group policies and hardening practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
