Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain core features and functions of card transaction systems on a distributed platform deployed in the cloud.
- Actively participate in agile teams, embracing the latest development practices, including writing code, unit tests, working with API specs, and automation.
- Utilize Java technologies such as Vertx, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful microservices, Ignite, In-Memory Computing, Spark, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Kafka, and Yellowbrick to drive innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret technical and business objectives, identify challenges, and develop eloquent solutions.
- Debug basic software components, identify code defects, and contribute to remediation efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends, investigating new domains and questioning the status quo to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience with Java technologies.
- Hands-on experience with application design, software development, and automated testing.
- Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, relational or NoSQL databases.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile or other rapid application development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Apache Ignite.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud-based deployments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box.
