Key Responsibilities: Guiding Students to Math Success
- Teach students in grades K-12 using our customized learning plans, helping them to grasp complex math concepts and build confidence in their abilities.
- Assist students with homework completion, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure they understand the material.
- Deliver high-quality instruction, adapting your teaching style to meet the needs of individual students and promote a love of learning.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development, staying up-to-date on best practices in math education and enhancing your own math skills.
- Work collaboratively with other instructors and center staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Qualifications: The Skills and Knowledge You Need to Succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Strong math proficiency up to Algebra, with preferred proficiency through Geometry and Calculus.
- An exceptional score on Mathnasium's Math Literacy exam, demonstrating your mastery of math concepts from 2nd grade and up.
- Availability for at least 2 weekday shifts, typically in the afternoons after 3pm.
- A clear record on a state and national background check, ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for our students.
