**Job Summary**
As a Medical Billing Customer Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for new customers, providing support and guidance on patient care and third-party reimbursement. You will be responsible for processing new orders, responding to questions, resolving issues, and ensuring patient, referral, and employee satisfaction. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days of work-from-home (WFH) and 2 days of in-office work, with completion of in-office training and meeting expectations with management approval.
**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities**
* Provide support to patients, referral sources, and employees through phone, email, and in-person interactions
* Process new orders, respond to questions, resolve issues, and ensure patient, referral, and employee satisfaction
* Collect co-pays and deductible amounts
* Conduct insurance verification and eligibility for services/products
* Conduct patient satisfaction calls and act as patient advocate to resolve questions or concerns
* Develop and maintain a working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, insurance regulations, and FDA/DOT and JCAHO guidelines
* Develop and maintain working knowledge of current products and services offered by arenaflex and all applicable governmental regulations
* Maintain accuracy and quality control throughout patient contact and data input
* Manage all aspects of initial intake, including answering phone calls, receiving faxes, collecting patient and referral source information, inputting data into IMBS and eIntake, printing tickets, assembling charts, and processing paperwork
* Obtain authorization and qualification documentation
* Prepare complete and accurate files for Billing Department
* Process work orders to field locations and coordinate timely fulfillment of products and services ordered
* Provide education to referral sources, patients, and employees on qualifications for service and 3rd-party billing
* Provide product/service information by answering questions, offering assistance, and providing technical assistance to customers as required
* Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
* High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
* Background investigation (company-wide)
* Drug screen (when applicable for the position)
* Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with medical billing practices and of billing reimbursement, preferred
* Experience in medical field and administrative record management, preferred
* One year of related work experience, preferred
