About the Role: Operations Manager - Night Shift
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our night shift operations in a distribution center environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational activities of various functional departments, ensuring continuous improvement, driving process consistency, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Your strong leadership skills, combined with your ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze reports, records, and directives to plan activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress, and problems encountered.
- Monitor and analyze costs, prepare budgets, and manage quality, training, and process improvement resources.
- Supervise personnel responsible for quality, continuous improvement, training, and projects, and develop a continuous improvement culture using Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology.
- Implement process controls to reduce variation and create process consistency, and develop and manage a DC training program to improve efficiency and standardize processes.
- Enhance customer satisfaction levels through investigations of concerns, and provide support for maintaining compliance with government requirements and regulatory requirements.
- May be responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping materials or finished goods, ensuring materials are received from proper vendors, delivered to inventory, and finished goods are available to meet production schedules.
- Give work direction, resolve problems, and set deadlines to ensure timely completion of work, and provide backup support for the Inventory Manager.
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree or equivalent experience, with typically 7+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of distribution operations, with 7+ years of experience in this area, including 4+ years of managerial/supervisory experience.
- Experience in QC/QA and process improvement, with 3-5 years of progressive work experience in this area.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered, with a designated representative license for the state of California being a strong asset.
- Six Sigma certification and/or experience in other lean process management programs is also a strong asset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intermediate computer proficiency in the MS Office suite, with exposure to WMS, SAP, labor management systems, ADP, and Workday being strongly preferred.
- Superior and effective business/technical communication skills, with the ability to relay information and promote trust and collaboration.
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, training, and mentoring a team to success, with strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with data analysis and statistics, and project management certification or experience being an asset.
- A strong focus on customer service and commitment to customer satisfaction, with the ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:
