Job Responsibilities: Empowering Students to Succeed
As a Part-time Data Science Mentor (US), you will play a vital role in delivering live sessions on various topics relevant to Data Science interviews. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering live sessions on various topics that are relevant for Data Science interviews: You'll be responsible for creating engaging and informative sessions that help our students prepare for their interviews
- Constantly improving the session flow and delivery by working with other instructors and subject matter experts: You'll collaborate with our team of experts to ensure our sessions are always up-to-date and effective
- Simplifying complex topics and explaining them in an engaging manner: You'll have the ability to break down complex concepts into easy-to-understand language, making them accessible to our students
- Having regular discussions with IK's curriculum team in evolving the Data Science curriculum: You'll contribute to the development of our curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and effective
- Helping in onboarding and training other instructors and coaches: You'll be part of our team's growth and development, helping to onboard and train new instructors and coaches
- Understanding the challenges faced by students and willingness to help them out: You'll be empathetic and supportive, always willing to lend a helping hand to our students
Requirements: Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in tier-1 Tech companies as a Data Science Engineer/ Data Scientist/ ML Engineer/ Decision Scientist: You'll have a strong background in Data Science, with experience working in top tech companies
- Proficient in SQL and at least one of these programming languages: Python (preferred), R, C/C++: You'll be proficient in SQL and at least one programming language, with a preference for Python
- Experience in delivering end-to-end solutions related to Data Science Projects: You'll have experience working on Data Science projects, from start to finish
- Participation in interview panels and hiring committees: You'll have experience participating in interview panels and hiring committees, giving you a unique understanding of what companies look for in candidates
- Should be willing to work on weekends/evenings and be available as per the US time zone: You'll be flexible and willing to work outside of traditional hours, ensuring you're available to support our students in the US time zone
