Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex projects with significant impact, acting as a key player in large-scale software programs planning for the Technology area
- Design, develop, and run tooling to identify issues in data and systems, documenting problems to engineering and product leadership
- Review and analyze complex software enhancement projects for business, operational, or technical improvements, requiring extensive assessment of multiple elements, including intangibles or unusual factors
- Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted data engineering situations, requiring knowledge of software package options and programming language, and compliance requirements that affect and lead Technology to meet deliverables and drive organizational change
- Strategically collaborate and communicate with internal partners to solve highly volatile data engineering challenges
Essential Qualifications
- 3+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent proven through one or a combination of the following: work experience, education, military experience, training
- 2+ years of Programming language: Spark, Python, or PySpark
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Information Security domains, including DLP, IAM, and vulnerability management
- Experience implementing and supporting complex Airflow DAGs
- Experience with various data formats, including YAML, JSON, Parquet, and XML
- Experience working directly with data security datasets, metrics, and reporting
- On-premise Hadoop distributions (Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR) and public cloud services (GCP, AWS, Azure) experience
- Strong knowledge of cluster technology and clustered services
