About the Position
As a Data Entry Operator at blithequark, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data. You will be responsible for preparing, compiling, and sorting documents for data entry, as well as verifying data for errors and inconsistencies. Your strong typing skills and attention to detail will be essential in this role, as you will be working with various computer programs, including Excel and Outlook, to enter data into our database and computer forms.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, compile, and sort documents for data entry and customs purposes
- Check source documents for accuracy and verify data for errors
- Obtain additional information for incomplete documents and update data as necessary
- Delete unnecessary files and combine and reorder source document data as needed
- Enter data from source documents into our prescribed database, files, and computer forms
- Transcribe information into the required electronic format and scan documents into our document management systems or databases
- Check the accuracy of work performed and store completed documents in designated locations
- Respond to requests for information and access relevant files as needed
- Print information when required and perform other duties as assigned by the team leader or billing supervisor
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and qualifications, including:
- Ability to write quickly and accurately with few spelling mistakes and errors
- Good command of English (both oral and written)
- Ability to spell well and strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to stay focused and concentrate on tasks
- Working knowledge of basic office equipment and computer hardware
- Working knowledge of email and telephone communication
- Ability to communicate effectively with others and positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment
- Willingness to take direction from others and good work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Previous experience in data entry or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Experience with document management systems or databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
