About the Role
As a Data Entry Specialist - Prior Authorization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data capture system. You will be responsible for introducing data into our system, which is then provided to clients for use in their internal adjudication processes. This is an entry-level position that requires a strong foundation in data entry, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Enter data from scanned and/or processed images into our data capture system with high accuracy and speed.
- Production Volume Goals: Meet expected hourly production volume goals and maintain quality levels above minimums set by management.
- Quality Control: Ensure data accuracy and completeness, and perform quality control checks to prevent errors.
- Performance Improvement: Increase speed and difficulty of tasks as expected with training and practice.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain awareness of and actively participate in our Corporate Compliance Program.
- Maintain a neat and orderly workstation.
- Assist with other projects as assigned by management.
- Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Data Entry Skills: Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and speed.
- Computer Knowledge: Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and data capture systems.
- Typing Skills: Proficient typing skills with a minimum of 35 words per minute (wpm) and 98% accuracy (test required).
- Math Skills: Basic math skills with attention to detail.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in data entry, healthcare, or a related field.
