Job Summary
As a Senior Data Analyst and ETL Developer at blithequark, you will work closely with internal IT teams, data investigators, BI engineers, system administrators, and data consumers to deliver performance insights across blithequark Health. Your primary responsibilities will include supervising the delivery of blithequark Health data and insights drives and projects, supporting long-term and ad-hoc data ETL and data warehousing activities, and designing, developing, and delivering layered databases and data pipelines to support reporting and analytics projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the delivery of blithequark Health data and insights drives and projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks
- Support long-term and ad-hoc data ETL and data warehousing activities to meet blithequark Health reporting and analytics expectations
- Design, develop, and deliver layered databases and data pipelines to support reporting and analytics projects, utilizing best practices and industry-standard tools
- Create data preparation and pre-processing standards for populating consistent and accurate data models attached to report-specific working tables for both project business intelligence and pre-defined reporting solutions
- Apply data extraction, transformation, and loading best practices to integrate large datasets from various internal blithequark production system sources and third-party records
- Perform data profiling and data analysis across internal production systems, manually maintained data, and standard healthcare datasets (e.g., member eligibility, clinical claims, pharmacy claims, HEDIS ECDS records)
- Develop internal tools for automation of all improvement-related activities (data processing, QA, data validation, etc.)
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Proven, hands-on experience writing and tuning SQL-based ETL/ELT scripts
- Experience designing and delivering reasonably isolated data environments using ETL/ELT services that include but are not limited to Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Snowflake
- Experience providing thought leadership and presenting tool rationalist semantic data layer enhancements related to BI technology platforms like PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with technical teams, internal stakeholders, clients, and vendor partners
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace
- At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team management
- Able to travel up to/no less than 5% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of pharmacy, healthcare, and clinical research concepts
