Job Overview
In this exciting role, you will be part of our Immediate to Buyer Item and Tech Examination group, where you will have the opportunity to work on complex data analysis projects, driving business growth and informing key decisions. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for assembling analyses, data visualizations, and multi-functional reporting that provides critical support to our sign-up and business item spaces. Your expertise will help us answer key business questions, identify trends in structured and unstructured data, and develop recommendations to improve business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble analyses, data visualizations, and multi-functional reporting to support business decision-making
- Answer key business questions and provide analytical expertise on trade streams to improve the customer experience and increase conversions
- Advance the analytical capabilities of the business, collaborating on the design of analytical solutions and delivering exceptional data insights and products
- Utilize data visualization tools, SQL, and scripting languages to access and analyze structured and unstructured data
- Apply statistical techniques (t-test, chi-square, ANOVA, correlation, regression, factor analysis, etc.) to understand customer behaviors and drive business results
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring a combination of technical skills, business acumen, and collaboration. The essential qualifications include:
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
- 3+ years of professional experience as an analyst in a data and analytics space, with strong SQL, Python, or R skills for complex querying, advanced analysis, performance optimization, and working with data at scale
- Experience delivering end-to-end analysis projects, from unclear requirements to a meaningful story, open to various audiences, and ultimately to a tangible business outcome
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and technical partners
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the essential qualifications, we are looking for candidates with:
- A Master's degree in a quantitative field
- Demonstrated data visualization skills with tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Looker, MicroStrategy, Plotly, etc.
- Experience with marketing landing pages, join funnel, and business spaces
- Ability to identify and effectively escalate issues to management
- Consulting background, MBA, or other multi-industry experience
- Strong motivation and ability to work independently
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
