Key Responsibilities
- Interpret business, technical, regulatory, and architectural requirements to research and recommend innovative solutions that drive business success.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms, with a focus on security, accessibility, and compliance, to ensure solutions meet the organization's needs.
- Ensure solutions adhere to architectural standards and best practices, including security and accessibility policies and guidelines, to maintain the highest level of quality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to recommend standard operating procedures and policies that promote efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop estimates of the teamwork effort needed to deliver application solutions based on project specifications and report progress to management and project managers.
- Identify and manage potential risks associated with proposed solutions, including security risks, to ensure timely mitigation and resolution.
- Review, analyze, and document solutions to ensure they are designed for performance and can scale to meet future demands.
- Collaborate with other architecture staff to ensure consistent delivery of quality industry-standard solutions.
- Consult on new projects to determine the best architecture for the application or workload, estimated costs to host the application, and publish designs and recommendations.
- Track initiatives, evaluate the effectiveness of planned solutions, and recommend alternative solutions when needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Demonstrate the benefits of solutions to stakeholders, including increased operational efficiencies, decreased costs, and improved customer satisfaction.
- Identify technology solutions compliant with digital accessibility regulations and participate in accessibility evaluations during product testing.
- Coordinate with internal operations teams to consider the implications of introducing solutions on infrastructure, security, and other critical areas.
- Understand and apply advanced data migration techniques to ensure seamless transitions.
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure successful solution implementation and adoption.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in computer science, information technology, or software engineering, complemented by relevant experience and skills. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect in a similar role, with a track record of delivering successful solutions.
- A strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks, including the ability to apply them in practical contexts.
- Experience with a variety of technologies and platforms, including operating systems, databases, and other relevant tools.
- Expertise in security best practices, including data protection, encryption, secure coding, and compliance.
