Full-Time Tax Preparer (Individual + Business) | Year-Round Work

We acquired a CPA firm with several hundred individual and small business tax clients and are modernizing the operation. We are hiring a full-time tax preparer to handle preparation work inside a streamlined, tech-forward workflow. This is a year-round role. In addition to tax returns, we provide ongoing bookkeeping and accounting services, so work continues outside of tax season. Responsibilities: • Prepare individual tax returns including W-2, 1099, Schedule C, rentals, and multi-state • Prepare business returns including S-Corps, Partnerships, and basic C-Corps • Review client documents submitted through a portal and standardized checklists • Use modern software and AI-assisted tools to reduce manual data entry • Identify missing information and follow defined workflows to resolve issues • Coordinate with bookkeeping staff for accurate year-end data • Assist with extensions, amendments, and basic notices Requirements: • 3+ years of professional tax preparation experience • Active PTIN required • Experience with both individual and small business returns • Comfortable working in modern, cloud-based systems • Comfortable using automation and AI-assisted tax prep tools • Detail-oriented and able to manage volume efficiently • Full-time availability during US business hours Compensation: • Full-time, long-term role • Competitive pay based on experience How to Apply: Include a short summary of your experience, the types of returns you prepare, tax software used, and confirmation of an active PTIN.
