Job Description:
• Provides communication between ACL Laboratories and clinical providers, including clinical genetic counselors, physicians, and clients.
• Reviews genetic testing orders for clinical appropriateness.
• Collaborates with laboratory technicians and directors across multiple specialties.
• Assists in the interpretation of results and writing of custom lab reports.
• Responsible for staff, community, and referring physician education regarding genetic testing options.
Requirements:
• Master's degree in Genetic Counseling from accredited program.
• Typically requires one year experience
• Certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling.
• Genetic Counselor Licensure by the state in which teammate practices.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make patient care decisions.
