About the Opportunity
We sell physical information products where usability, design taste, and perceived value directly affect conversion. Our hero product is a premium, beautifully designed physical book of condition-organized natural remedies and healthy recipes that drives the vast majority of revenue. Our customers are primarily women aged 55–80+ who want practical, actionable health information.
The existing team (product coordinator, designers, content specialist) is strong at execution but lacks the product vision and taste to lead autonomously. We need a senior product leader who can take over that function and help us to create the most beautiful, useful products, to practically change the lives of millions worldwide.
The Role
You will own what we build, how it looks, and how it serves our customers. This is a taste-driven role: you need to intuitively understand what our customer wants when they open a health book, and translate that into beautiful, practical, world-class physical products that sell.
What You Will Own
- Product vision and roadmap: deciding what to build next, how to improve existing products, and how to expand the product line.
- Product design and quality: ensuring every product meets an exceptionally high bar for usability, visual appeal, and value.
- Deep customer understanding: mining feedback, reviews, support calls, and survey data to identify what customers want — including what they don't know they want.
- New product development: validating new concepts through testing before committing to full production.
- Team leadership: managing the product development team and hiring if needed.
You Are the Right Fit If
- You have exceptional product taste — you know what makes a physical product feel premium, look beautiful, and function brilliantly, and you have work that demonstrates this.
- You deeply understand our demographic or can rapidly develop that understanding. Our customer is not a tech-savvy millennial — she is a 65-year-old grandmother who wants practical health solutions she can use today.
- Experience designing and shipping physical products: books, magazines, guides, cards, kits, or similar format-driven products.
- You are customer-obsessed and move fast. Development cycles are measured in weeks, not quarters.
- You understand direct-response ecommerce: a product must not only be great, it must communicate its value instantly in an ad and a landing page.
Nice to Have
- Experience in health, wellness, or natural living content/products.
- Publishing, editorial design, or content product background.
- Understanding of print production and manufacturing.
90-Day Success
Deep immersion in customer data: hundreds of reviews, support transcripts, and survey responses reviewed. Assessed all current products and delivered a quality audit. Led at least one product iteration cycle with minimal founder input. Presented a product roadmap for the next 6–12 months with validation plans for new concepts.
