Short Description The purpose of the Floor Care Specialist is to be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all flooring and related products both internally and externally. This role is vital to the launch and growth of this product line. Self-starters with a strong work ethic will excel in this role. Responsibilities • Meet and exceed revenue goals for assigned territory. • Carry out “direct” sales activity for priority segments, create effective sales penetration plans • Cultivate effective “cross selling” activity “through and with” our existing sales professionals • Participate in ride-a-longs with other sales professionals to develop business and product knowledge of the customers and sales professionals • Attend trade associations and networking events to create external brand awareness • Ensure customers are receiving the highest level of service • Provide training and perform demonstrations on flooring equipment to employees and customers. • Perform job walks to ensure optimal solution and quote is provided to customer. • Perform job setups • Ensure accurate invoicing • Provide recommendations for improvement to your manager and the company Requirements Professional Experience Progressive sales background and operational management experience in the equipment rental or related industry Professional Experience Customer service experience required Computer skills to support entering information into systems Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs Interpersonal skills Teamwork Listening skills Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently Dependability Educational Background Bachelor - Business Administration or related industry/field preferred Conditions of Employment Sound knowledge of equipment specifications, applications, and set up Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level Sales and financial acumen A valid driver's license Skills • Able to walk into unfamiliar environments and adjust rapidly to the setting • Ability to drive company/departmental Vision and Purpose • Ability to follow up with customers in a timely manner • Ability to engage in natural verbal interaction with customers • Attention to detail • Multi-tasking individual who uses project management skills to accomplish goals • Customer service focused • Must react to changing business needs Herc Rentals values its employees and provides excellent compensation and benefits packages which are not limited to the following.
