Job Summary:
The Service Support Specialist will assist the service department in various tasks, including dispatching, customer service, and completion of generator warranty and new unit start-ups. This position is based on-site at our Owings, MD location and offers a competitive salary and a chance to work with a leading company in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Service Project Coordinators in completing warranty, new unit start-ups, and national accounts assigned to KGE by Generac
- Act as a point of contact between sales and service departments
- Provide support to contractors, customers, and factory representatives
- Utilize in-house software to submit documentation and file warranty claims
- Assist with dispatching technicians to assigned projects
- Support the service team as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to develop relationships with coworkers and vendors
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required
- 1 year of experience in customer service, administrative, or related field
Physical Requirements:
- On-site position
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time
