Your daily tasks include:
Being the first point of contact for the client when it comes to technical questions or the quality of the delivery.
Working together with the client’s technology and business teams, facilitating collaboration between different stakeholders to ensure quality delivery.
Implementing new features that require changes to front-end applications, back-end servers, and/or databases, knowing what is needed from infrastructure to support the team's work.
Improving the team's ways of working by empowering them to discover optimal workflows and enabling a healthy work-life balance among team members.
Building relationships with the client to ensure future collaboration.
Assisting the team in adopting and following agile practices.
To thrive in this position, you’ll need:
Experience in a broad range of software development modalities (backend, frontend, ops, and consulting skills).
Usually, to be successful in this role at Reaktor, we've noticed it's good to have a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
Solid understanding and experience of agile project management principles.
To have both previous team-lead and consulting experience.
Experience working with several client stakeholders to solve complex problems.
Previous experience with at least one common server-side programming language. Currently, many of our projects are built with TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js. But, Java/Scala/Kotlin, Clojure, and Python are also used.
Strong knowledge of at least one common client-side language and framework. We often use TypeScript/JavaScript and React on our web app projects and Swift, Java/Scala/Kotlin, or TypeScript/JavaScript React-native on mobile.
Relevant skills to create new backend services and build CI/CD pipelines when the project requires.
Foundational knowledge in DevOps, including Continuous Integration (CI), automated deployment, and test automation
Know-how on databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
Fluent spoken & written skills in English and Dutch.
To be willing to work in a hybrid setup, where you work with your team at the office or the client's premises.

Salary & Benefits
We believe in fair compensation for our employees, and our monetary compensation for the Lead Developer role is between 70,000€ and 84,000€ per annum, including 8% holiday pay. Check out the other benefits & perks on our careers page.
