Responsibilities • Conduct legal research and deliver concise analysis to support business decisions and compliance initiatives. • Review, draft, and edit contracts and legal documents, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational policies. • Contribute to the development and improvement of policies and procedures that drive legal compliance and operational excellence. • Engage in special projects that advance the Legal Team’s strategic goals and support Cigna’s mission to improve health outcomes. • Build professional relationships through networking with in-house counsel, business leaders, and cross-functional partners, gaining exposure to diverse legal career paths. Requirements • Current law school student in good academic standing at an accredited institution. • Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent). • Completion of first year of law school by internship start date. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work effectively in team environments and show professional work habits. • Capacity to understand situational context and respond with logical analysis. • Ethical use of technology to enhance productivity and achieve goals. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. • This position is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa support including H-1B or CPT/OPT/STEM, etc. , now or in the future.
