Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is one of the world’s leading global law firms seeking Legal Practice Assistants to support various practice groups across several U.S. offices. The role involves providing administrative and substantive legal support in a collaborative environment, focusing on client service and practical working experience.
Responsibilities
- Managing, organizing and maintaining case and client files
- Coordinating and preparing information, materials, documents, reports, and evidence
- Assisting with the drafting, proofreading, editing, and gathering of factual support for internal and external requests
- Supporting the development and management of case and practice group work product
- Conducting research, fact investigations, and analysis for internal and external requests
- Coordinating communication and planning across attorney teams handling multiple client matters
- Interfacing with clients and may serve as a point of contact for clients
- Participating in supervised client communications to exchange information
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Manager of Legal Practice Support, workflow coordinator and/or attorneys
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Ability to be proactive and a self-starter
- Ability to think critically and see 'big picture' effects
- Superior written/verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team environment are a must
- Exceptional leadership and organization skills
- Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and balance multiple tasks while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Flexibility to travel and work evening hours at times as needed
- A commitment of two years is expected

- 3.5 GPA or higher preferred
- One (1) year of internship or professional experience preferred
