DCA is a fast-growing progressive international consumer products engineering and manufacturing company located in Sunnyvale, CA. They are seeking a Senior Engineer or Lead Engineer to join their design and manufacturing operations, focusing on mechanical systems and components in the consumer products industry.
Responsibilities
- Heavily involved with design, engineering, and manufacturing working with specific product lines and collaborative development
- Work closely with offshore engineering, manufacturing and management teams, and share priorities and goals
- Understand complex mechanical assemblies, design mechanical systems and components, and perform strong root cause analysis, deductive reasoning, and FMEA skills
Skills
- 1-4 years of manufacturing and design engineering experience in the consumer products industry involving design of mechanical systems and components of motors, gearboxes and related modules (steppers, BLDC, etc.)
- Senior Engineer product development in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Automated assembly processes such as MIM, CNC, sheet metal and plastics design and manufacturing processes
- Skills like FMEA, CP, CPX and GD&T
- Understanding of complex mechanical assemblies
- Design mechanical systems and components
- Strong root cause analysis, deductive reasoning, and FMEA skills
- BSME, or related degree
- 1-4 years of engineering, design and manufacturing of mechanical systems and components
- Experience in automated high-volume manufacturing and assembly processes with an emphasis on motors, gearboxes, and related modules in the consumer products industry
- Willingness to do 15-20% international travel
- US Citizens, have US Green Card, or current H1-b visa holders
- Currently live in the Silicon Valley area
- Ability to commute to Sunnyvale, CA 94087
- Design of electric motors (stepper, BLDC) or gearboxes: 1 year
- High volume consumer products engineering: 1 year
- Interface with eng/mfg teams, stakeholders & customers: 1 year
