About the position
Responsibilities
• Identify and profile existing and emerging Coordination of Benefit & Payment Integrity competitors, including analyzing company statistics, financial performance, products, and service approaches.
• Perform competitive gap and comparative analyses to inform competitive and messaging strategies.
• Analyze competitive sales outcomes, including information obtained via Company's Freedom of Information Act request program with government entities.
• Perform critical analysis of materials (including high level win-loss analyses) and recommend offensive and defensive strategies to drive future sales success.
• Utilize competitive analysis and secondary research to identify trends and patterns in the areas of product differentiation, pricing, service, and market share.
• Engage internal stakeholders regularly to compile, assess, and respond to competitive risks, including convening cross-functional calibration 'black hat' sessions.
• Apply qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze, interpret, and synthesize market conditions, industry data, forecasts and trends.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative research and analysis, evaluate financial reports, and utilize other creative approaches to obtain information.
• Summarize findings in briefing documents and communicate key takeaways to internal audiences via a variety of channels.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product roadmaps align to buyer needs and competitive differentiation.
• Interface and align output with Gainwell corporate Strategic Competitive Intelligence team.
• Collaborate with Sales and Account teams and perform market research to assess new product and product expansion opportunities.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required experience in Marketing, Economics, Public Health, or another related field.
• Knowledge of healthcare delivery and/or healthcare claims is strongly desired.
• Four (4) years or more professional market research experience, including compiling competitive intelligence and performing market analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative analyses, familiarity with financial reports ideal.
• Strong analytical skills and demonstrated success arraying data to meet the needs of different audiences, including synthesizing data into executive reports or presentations.
• Exemplary written, verbal, and presentation skills are needed and must be comfortable interacting with senior management.
• Proficient in internet and commercial database research, including employing creative ways to access information.
• Experience working with Microsoft SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-impact, collaborative environment.
• Self-motivated and independent, yet able to work as part of a team.
