Role – OSI PI Engineer / Senior Engineer (Operations & On-Call Support)

Job Summary:
AMTSOL Singapore is seeking a skilled OSI PI Engineer / Senior Engineer to support operations, system administration, and troubleshooting of interfaces across multiple platforms, including DeltaV, PLC, MES, SAP, and other PI-related hardware/software configurations. This role involves on-call support, ensuring system reliability, and optimizing data integration for manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration & Support: Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance the OSI PI system, ensuring seamless data collection, processing, and visualization.
- On-Call Support:
Provide 24/7 support as required, diagnosing and resolving critical issues impacting manufacturing operations.
- Interface Management:
Troubleshoot and optimize data interfaces with DeltaV, PLCs, MES, SAP, and other control systems to ensure accurate data flow.
- Configuration & Maintenance: Configure PI tags, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Notifications, PI Vision dashboards, and PI DataLink for reporting and analysis.
- Hardware & Software Integration: Work with PI connectors, interfaces, and data archive systems to ensure proper data synchronization.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor system health, performance, and security, ensuring compliance with client IT and cybersecurity standards.
- Incident & Change Management: Adhere to ITIL best practices, participate in root cause analysis, and implement system upgrades or patches as needed.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work with cross-functional teams, including IT, Automation, MES, Process Engineering, and Manufacturing Operations, to align OSI PI solutions with business needs. Document system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
- Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and data integrity
guidelines for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with OSIsoft PI Systems in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience troubleshooting data interfaces with DeltaV, PLCs, MES, SAP, and other automation systems.
- Hands-on expertise in OSI PI System Administration, PI AF, PI Vision, PI DataLink, RT Reports and PI Notifications.
- Understanding of industrial control systems, process data historians, and IT/OT networking.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- Willingness to provide on-call support and work flexible hours when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, and validation processes in a pharmaceutical/biotech setting.
- Familiarity with data integrations, SQL, Power BI, or Python for data analysis.
- Experience with ITIL-based service management and cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
