The Mobile Operations & Expeditionary Specialist is responsible for one of two roles: oversight of the Unstaffed Center Operations, product acquisition/movement and inventory for USO programs and operations within the region and/or the planning, coordinating and delivering of Mobile USO programs and services within a designated service area, operating vehicle(s) that are part of the Mobile Canteen fleet. This position may be worked remotely from Colorado Springs or Denver, Colorado.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Duties)

• Plan and execute travel schedule, logistics and other arrangements related to Mobile Program calendar of events. Ensure appropriate quantities of supplies are on hand and all equipment is clean and in good working order.*
• Serve as main point of contact for Mobile USO events, programs and services within assigned service area. Create an inviting, visually appealing area for visitors and guests; promote a positive image of the USO. Lead and supervise on-site event volunteers.*
• Serve as media spokesperson for Mobile USO programs and services within assigned service area. In coordination with internal Communications resources, compile and distribute press releases on upcoming events, coordinate on-site interviews, and prepare after-action media reports.*
• Prepare and maintain all records and reports, including but not limited to travel logs, maintenance records, inventory, expenses, event planning and after-action reports related to programs and events within assigned service area.*
• Prepare, equip and drive USO vehicle to and from assigned events including but not limited to military homecomings, deployments, and other marketing and public relations events, maintaining compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations and USO Policies and Procedures.
• Load, transport, unload and set up materials, food and beverage, and other supplies and equipment.
• Cross train on all Mobile USO fleet vehicles; including smaller Sprinters and larger Mobile RVs. Position is may be pulled to support overall Mobile USO/USO mission delivery throughout the US.
• Assist in the planning and management of regional expeditionary operations to support deployed forces, especially in austere environments, as needed
• The Mobile Operations & Expeditionary Specialist role will prepare, equip and drive USO Mobile Center to and from assigned events maintaining compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations and USO Policies and Procedures.
• The Mobile Operations & Expeditionary Specialist will conduct Mobile Center operations, Prepare and maintain all records and reports, including but not limited to travel logs, maintenance records, inventory, expenses, event planning and after-action reports related to programs and events within assigned service area, while planning and executing the travel schedule, logistics and other arrangements related to Mobile Program calendar of events. Job Specifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 3-5 years work progressively responsible work experience in operations, event/program development and/or logistics role. Relevant experience in a not-for-profit, military, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.
• Ability to obtain commercial driver’s license, if required.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills. Ability to interact with USO Leadership, the general public and military audiences at a variety of levels with integrity and professionalism.
• Proficiency using computers and electronics equipment. General knowledge of various software, applications, and programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a CDL Class A license. Cross train on all Mobile USO fleet vehicles; including smaller Sprinters and larger Mobile vehicles.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid United States passport.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment related to controversial and/or culturally sensitive subjects. Ability to handle confidential information with tact and poise.
• Must show initiative, self-motivation, and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities. Ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing organizational needs.
• Ability to achieve desired results while working collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to perform basic math and follow proper cash/donation handling and reporting procedures.
• Ability to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access USO Center locations and facilities including but not limited to security, credit and/or background screening, SOFA status, valid driver’s license.

• The salary range for this position is $42,000 - $60,000.
