MS Azure Technical Solutions Architect II

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years selling, architecting, implementing and/or marketing Microsoft Azure cloud solutions.
• Working knowledge or expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud design and architecture.
• Ability for overnight travel (25% - 50%).
• Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational, writing and editing skills.
• Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate or plan to immediately attain required; Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert or any Microsoft Azure specialty certification aligned with our organization’s go-to-market goals (e.g. AI, Data, AppDev, Security) will be strongly preferred.
• 4-year bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent professional experience preferred.

What will you be doing?

Technical Solutions Architects seek to transform the market with innovative solutions that amplify customer value and WWT profitability. They use data-driven approaches to align and execute WWT’s portfolio across the business. WWT is currently searching for a Microsoft Azure Technical Solutions Architect to maintain and expand our Microsoft Azure cloud business. This strategic position will reside within the WWT Cloud Team, part of Global Solutions & Architecture (GS&A). As a Microsoft Azure Technical Solutions Architect, you will:

• Accelerate profitable growth of our Microsoft Azure pipeline and our most strategic opportunities.
• Align and optimize our Microsoft Azure solution portfolio to enhance focus and predictability.
• Create scale with standardized and repeatable Microsoft Azure solution offerings.
• In summary, you will be responsible for evaluating and developing new and complex Microsoft Azure cloud solution offerings, enabling our regional field sales resources, and supporting strategic sales opportunities.

Responsibilities:

In collaboration with the larger GS&A team, our professional services organization, regional sellers, regional solution architects, sales leadership and executive leadership, build and maintain the Microsoft Azure cloud solution portfolio as part of the team that defines the go-to-market strategy for WWT to grow our Microsoft Azure cloud business.

• Provide technical pre-sales support to field sales teams in their efforts to win new logos and grow our existing customer relationships through the sales and marketing of Microsoft Azure cloud solution offerings and capabilities.
• Build and maintain technical marketing and proof of work collateral for our field teams and our customers to help position and sell Microsoft Azure cloud solutions.  This may include but not be limited to:
• Digital sales brochures for field enablement and customer leave behinds
• Technical solution briefings, including sample statement of work, sample project plan and customer case studies
• Technical solution workshops, including reference architectures, advisory services and technical demonstrations.
• Proofs of Concept (POCs), including architectures and test results as part of white paper studies
• Thought leadership articles and related content covering market trends and relevant solutions.
• Collaborate with others to build and maintain our Microsoft Azure cloud solutions portfolio and help set the go-to-market strategy for our Microsoft Azure cloud business.
• Work with other members of the Cloud Team to bolster messaging and capabilities within and around Microsoft Azure cloud services, including support of business development and marketing initiatives, as needed.
• Work with other technology solution areas within GS&A to build complex Microsoft Azure cloud solutions that will incorporate class leading partner solutions from complimentary OEMs.
• Work with our professional services organization and trusted services partners to ensure alignment between our Microsoft Azure cloud solution portfolio and Microsoft Azure cloud services capabilities.
• Train WWT staff and our strategic partners on our unique ability to market, sell and deliver Microsoft Azure cloud architectures and solutions, including the development of partner ecosystem relationships that are complementary to WWT's go-to-market strategy around Microsoft Azure cloud solution offerings.
• Achieve certification requirements to maintain partner status and achieve necessary specializations.
