We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated MTSS Math Interventionist to join our team at Lake Forest Community High School District 115 in Illinois. As a key member of our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) team, you will play a critical role in providing targeted math interventions to students, supporting their academic growth and achievement.
Job Summary:
The MTSS Math Interventionist will work closely with students, teachers, and staff to identify and support students who require additional math support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in math education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, document, and maintain ongoing academic plans and behavioral intervention plans for students
- Provide supplemental math instruction to students, either one-on-one or in small groups
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify students who require MTSS support and develop targeted interventions
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and report on intervention effectiveness
- Maintain accurate attendance records and intervention results
- Participate in ongoing professional development training and collaborate with colleagues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Math, Education, or related field
- Illinois Paraprofessional License required; Professional Educator License preferred
- Prior experience tutoring students in math, preferably in a high school setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Proficient in Google Docs and Sheets, Powerschool, and Schoology
