This role exists to protect that standard.
The Role
We are looking for an on-call Brand Strategist who can step into active projects and deliver the same depth, rigor, and clarity our clients are accustomed to receiving.
You will not be figuring things out from scratch. You will be working inside an established framework that includes brand audits, market research, positioning, customer personas, messaging architecture, and customer journey thinking.
This is not a junior role. This is for someone who knows how to think, synthesize, and articulate brand strategy at a senior level.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
You will be brought in on a project basis to support or lead strategy work such as:
Brand audits that assess positioning, messaging, visual alignment, and gaps
Market and competitor research translated into clear strategic insight
Brand positioning and differentiation for B2B and government-adjacent audiences
Customer persona development rooted in real behavior and buying context
Messaging frameworks that guide websites, social, sales, and internal teams
Customer journey mapping that connects brand decisions to experience
Strategic input for rebrands, launches, and growth phases
Collaborating with designers, writers, and leadership to ensure strategy carries through execution
Your work must be clear, structured, and usable. Strategy decks are expected to be thoughtful, well-organized, and client-ready.

You know how to work with founders, CMOs, and decision-makers without overexplaining

Our clients expect clarity, not fluff. Your work should help them make decisions.
Required Experience
5+ years of brand strategy experience, preferably in an agency or consultancy
Proven work with B2B brands, professional services, or enterprise organizations
Experience working with Black-owned brands in a way that is culturally aware and commercially grounded
Strong understanding of brand positioning, messaging, and customer psychology
Comfort working on government-adjacent or compliance-aware projects
Ability to produce polished strategy documents without hand-holding
Bonus points if you have experience with capability statements, internal communications, or brands operating in regulated environments.
