We are a fast-growing DTC jewellery brand experiencing recurring inventory issues:
-Stockout’s on best-sellers
-Over-ordering slow movers
-Cash tied up in excess stock
-Long supplier lead times requiring better forward planning
We are looking for someone who can own a simple, reliable demand forecasting process and tell us what to reorder, how much, and when - so inventory supports growth instead of restricting it.
This is not a reporting role. This is a decision-making inventory planning role.
What You’ll Do
Your core responsibility is to prevent stockouts and over-ordering by running a clear weekly forecasting and reorder process.
Weekly responsibilities:
-Review Shopify sales and inventory data-Forecast SKU-level demand (30–60–90 days)
-Maintain lead times, MOQs, and safety stock
-Forecast packaging orders acknowledging its long lead time
-Set and manage reorder points
-Flag overstock and slow-moving SKUs
You will clearly communicate:
-“SKU X will stock out by ___”
-“Reorder ___ units by ___”
-“Do not reorder this SKU yet - velocity too low”
Deliverables:
-Simple weekly inventory health report
-Clear reorder recommendations (not just data)
Who This Role Is For
This role is ideal for someone who:
-Has experience with demand forecasting or inventory planning
-Understands sell-through, weeks of cover, and lead-time planning
-Understands seasonal demands
-Is confident making recommendations
-Communicates clearly in written English
-Is comfortable working asynchronously
Requirements
-Proven experience in inventory forecasting or demand planning
-Strong Google Sheets / Excel skills
-Experience with DTC or e-commerce brands
-Ability to turn sales data into clear reorder decisions
-Available to start immediately
This is a part-time role to start with the aim to grow into a full-time position as the company grows.
