This role focuses on optimizing operational processes, aligning company objectives with operational capabilities, and ensuring the efficient scaling of portfolio companies. The individual will work closely with portfolio managers, executive leadership, and operational teams to enhance performance and value creation. Key Responsibilities • Operational Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of portfolio companies, implementing process improvements, efficiency optimizations, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals. • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report on operational performance across the portfolio, providing actionable insights to improve productivity and profitability. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with portfolio management, finance, and product teams to ensure seamless operations and execution of business strategies. • Strategic Execution: Lead and implement key operational projects that drive value creation, growth, and scalability for portfolio companies. • Best Practice Implementation: Develop and share operational best practices across portfolio companies, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement. • Resource Optimization: Collaborate with portfolio leaders to allocate resources effectively, ensuring that the right talent and tools are in place to drive company growth. • KPI Monitoring: Establish and monitor key operational metrics for portfolio companies, driving data-informed decision-making. • Talent Development: Work with portfolio companies to identify and address operational talent gaps, driving hiring, training, and team development efforts. • Operational Reporting: Prepare regular reports on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities for senior leadership and investors. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in operations management, portfolio operations, or similar roles within private equity, venture capital, or fast-growing companies. • Proven ability to optimize operations and drive efficiencies across multiple organizations or business units. • Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee complex initiatives and meet deadlines. • Analytical mindset, capable of using data to track performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement. • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex operational insights to both internal and external stakeholders. • Experience with scaling operations for high-growth companies, particularly in portfolio management or investment-backed settings. • Familiarity with project management tools and data analysis platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel, etc.). • Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on collaboration and team development.
