Key Responsibilities

In this role you will be directly responsible for delivering high‑quality, individualized ABA therapy to children with autism in their own homes. Your daily tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Providing one‑on‑one (1:1) ABA therapy sessions that align with each client’s individualized treatment plan.
• Collecting accurate behavior and skill acquisition data during each session using standardized data‑collection tools.
• Implementing discrete trial training (DTT), natural environment teaching (NET), and behavior support strategies under BCBA supervision.
• Collaborating with a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to review data, adjust interventions, and ensure fidelity of implementation.
• Communicating clearly and compassionately with children, families, and supervisors to address concerns, celebrate progress, and reinforce therapeutic goals.
• Maintaining punctuality, preparedness, and professionalism for every scheduled therapy session.
• Adhering to all safety protocols, including proper use of protective equipment and safe handling of materials.
• Participating in regular supervision meetings, case reviews, and continuing education opportunities.
• Documenting session notes, progress reports, and any incidents in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• A high school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor's degree (or coursework in progress) in Psychology, Education, Sociology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• At least one year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting, such as a mental health technician, direct support professional (DSP), paraprofessional, or childcare provider.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with children, parents, and professional staff.
• Reliable personal transportation and a valid driver’s license to travel to client homes within the service region.
• Physical capability to lift up to 35 lb and perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, squatting, and moving quickly in response to a child’s behavior.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate data records.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Assets

• Prior experience specifically with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or a related behavioral health modality.
• Completion of a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) 40‑hour online course (or willingness to enroll during onboarding).
• Certification or coursework in Special Education, Early Intervention, or Developmental Disabilities.
• Experience working as a Special Education Assistant, Teacher’s Assistant, or ABA tutor in a school or home setting.
• Familiarity with data‑collection software platforms such as CentralReach, Catalyst, or DataFinch.
• Demonstrated resilience, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in dynamic, fast‑paced environments.
