About the Role
As a Remote Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you'll be responsible for continuously updating our company's databases with new and updated customer and account information. You'll work closely with our employees and customers to collect relevant data, identify and correct errors, and ensure that our databases are current and accurate. Your diligence and attention to detail will enable us to make informed business decisions and drive growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain database accuracy by entering new and updated customer and account information in a timely manner.
- Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information, establishing entry priorities, and processing customer and account source documents.
- Enter customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard or optical scanner according to screen format.
- Verify entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Combine data from multiple systems when account information is incomplete, and purge files to eliminate duplication of data.
- Test customer and account system changes and upgrades by inputting new data, and secure information by completing database backups.
- Liaise with employees and customers to collect information, follow up on data discrepancies, and resolve deficiencies using standard procedures.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Data entry experience or related office experience.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in keyboarding and data entry software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
