The Home Loan Consultant role is designed for individuals to assist customers in selecting mortgage options and resolving issues while obtaining the necessary licenses to become a Loan Advisor.
Responsibilities
• Passing SAFE exam, obtaining the required state mortgage originator licenses
• Obtaining and or/ maintaining applicable state and NMLS licensure, or renewing your NMLS license within the time period determined and communicated to you by the Company
• Analyzes applicant information to determine whether the customer qualifies for a beneficial loan program
• Assists customers in discussing financial objectives and goals and, once licensed will take the initial loan application
• Clearly communicates the loan program terms and benefits available to the customer as well as the loan process
• Ensures all required documents are returned and disclosures are signed in a timely manner
• Follows our sales process and QA requirements to remain compliant
• Continually meets and/or exceeds the Sales KPI’s set by Management
• Is responsive to customers’ needs and expectations
• Has excellent communication skills and is clear, concise, and professional when speaking with customers
• Is eager to develop knowledge of the mortgage industry, products, lending practices, and regulatory guidelines
• Has strong knowledge of mortgage industry, products, lending practices, and regulatory guidelines
• Maintains a professional image and standards consistent with company policies and procedures
• Requires flexible scheduling (weekends and late nights)
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Skills
• U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States
• High School Diploma required
• At least one (1) year of mortgage sales experience working as bank loan officer or in similar role
• Must pass the NMLS SAFE exam within the first 30 days of this role
• Excellent communication skills and is clear, concise, and professional when speaking with customers
• Eager to develop knowledge of the mortgage industry, products, lending practices, and regulatory guidelines
