LEVELOCITI is a well-established public accounting firm seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead and grow their HUD and Affordable Housing audit practice. This fully remote role involves managing audits, overseeing staff, and ensuring compliance with HUD regulations.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage audits for HUD-assisted and affordable housing entities, including:
• Multifamily housing projects
• LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) properties
• Public Housing Authorities (PHAs)
• Nonprofit housing organizations
• Oversee audits performed under:
• HUD Audit Guide
• Uniform Guidance (Single Audits, when applicable)
• GAAP financial reporting standards
• Review and supervise audit staff and seniors
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients
• Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and profitability
• Provide technical guidance on HUD compliance matters
• Assist with practice development and mentoring team members
Skills
• Active CPA license
• 5+ years of public accounting audit experience
• Strong experience with HUD and/or affordable housing audits
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Strong client communication and relationship skills
• Experience with LIHTC and Uniform Guidance
