The role of HR Generalist/Business Partner involves engaging in HR consulting practices, managing employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. Responsibilities • Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers, addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop job descriptions, source and screen candidates, conduct interviews, and facilitate a seamless onboarding process for new hires. • Support the performance review process by coaching managers on goal-setting, feedback delivery, and performance improvement plans; ensure alignment with organizational goals. • Identify training needs, coordinate employee development programs, and promote continuous learning to enhance workforce skills and career growth. • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO) and maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR regulations; assist in maintaining employee records and HR documentation. • Work closely with leadership to understand business objectives, provide HR insights, and implement strategies that support talent management, workforce planning, and organizational growth. • Administer employee benefits programs, assist with open enrollment, and respond to employee questions; collaborate on compensation analysis and benchmarking as needed. • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture by organizing employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and team-building activities. • Participate in or lead special projects such as policy updates, HR system implementations, diversity and inclusion efforts, or process improvements. Skills • 1+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or Business Partner role. • Knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Professional certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus but not required. Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
