We are prepared to offer a competitive salary to attract a top-tier candidate for this role.   Job Description Job Title: Interim Controller (Part-Time, Remote) Location: Fully Remote Duration: 2-3 months minimum Hours: 15-20 hours per week Hourly Rate: $60-75+ W2 depending on experience Job Description: Jefferson Wells is seeking a skilled and experienced Interim Controller to join our client's team on a part-time basis. This is a remote position, with the potential for occasional travel to our office in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the monthly close process, generating financial statements, and consolidating financials across multiple entities. Key Responsibilities: • Generate accurate and timely financial statements. • Support the monthly close process from an accounting perspective, including reviewing balance sheet accounts and consolidating multiple entities. • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities. • Provide expertise in opening balance sheet and purchase accounting. • Perform detailed financial analysis and reporting. • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. • Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and systems. Requirements: • Proven experience in a controllership role, with a strong focus on financial statement generation and consolidation. • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (macros not required). • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Experience in healthcare finance is highly desirable but not mandatory. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting and controllership experience. • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. • Familiarity with opening balance sheet and purchase accounting is highly advantageous.
