• Develop synthetic aperture radar algorithms to create high-quality 3D data-products. These can take inspiration from techniques in tomography, interferometry, radargrammetry, as well as computer vision algorithms
• Work closely with the rest of the software team to implement and deploy efficient algorithms in our cloud-based image production pipeline
• Create tools for predicting the performance of 3D reconstruction algorithms based on image collection geometry
• Collaborate with the product team to understand customer use-cases and translate needs into system-level requirements
• Generate test plans and methods to validate product quality and ensure it meets end-user expectations
Skills
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics, computer science, or related field
• Experience in SAR digital signal processing and algorithm development
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Learn new concepts rapidly, completely, and in a self-directed manner
• High levels of self-motivation and personal accountability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under significant time constraints
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or MATLAB
• To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
• Advanced degree with emphasis in radar image formation
• Familiarity with SAR image formation algorithms
• Familiarity with SAR collection modes and motion compensation concepts
