Job Title Road Construction Flagger Dispatcher Position Location Battle Creek, MI Pay/Hours for Position This is a remote position, working hours on Saturday and Sunday. Requirements of Position The Road Construction Flagger Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and dispatching flaggers to various job sites throughout Michigan. This role ensures efficient deployment of traffic control staff, maintains open communication between crews and supervisors, and upholds safety standards in all field operations. Key Responsibilities: • Dispatch flaggers to job sites according to project schedules and client requests. • Monitor field activity to ensure flaggers are positioned correctly and that all safety protocols are followed. • Communicate frequently via phone with flaggers, foremen, and project managers. • Coordinate shift changes and personnel coverage with supervisors and field crews. • Respond promptly to urgent field needs or issues (e.g., sudden absences, emergencies, cancellations). • Provide flaggers with site-specific information, maps, and instructions for each assignment. • Maintain accurate records of daily deployments and incident reports. • Assist with recruiting new flaggers, when needed. • Uphold and promote company safety policies. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Prior experience in dispatching, traffic control, or road construction preferred. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. • Proficient in basic computer and mobile applications.
