The most successful candidates for this position generally have a public accounting background and have experience working in a multi-entity environment. The salary band for this position is between $70,000 and $80,000 based on experience.
Candidates must be located in the mid-Atlantic region.
Duties
General
• Communicate effectively while understanding the significance and appropriate use of communication channels and tone based on circumstances and audience
• When directed by manager, communicate directly with the client
• Coordinate with diverse resources to accomplish defined timelines and client accounting requirements
• Understand the scope of the engagement and raise requests for out of scope work to appropriate parties
• Assist or be assigned project management responsibility from the Manager, including but not limited to overall project management, tracking and communication, and review of documentation
• Assist or be assigned responsibility to train team members
• Bring concerns to HR as needed
• Provide feedback to designated employees on a regular basis and at a minimum on an annual basis. Work with HR for timing of feedback
Accounting Responsibilities
• Perform bookkeeping (Revenue/AR, Expense/AP, & Payroll) work as assigned by the Manager
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliation schedules as assigned by the Manager
• Draft financial statements as assigned by the Manager
• Work with the Manager to update process memos at least annually
• Complete tasks by assigned deadlines
• Transactional review to make sure your transactions are accurate and timely
• Reach out for additional training as needed
• When directed by Manager, hold meetings with the client
• Bank and credit card reconciliations as assigned
• Follow established WA standards for the monthly operations and month-end close accounting
Controls & Processes
• Make sure designed controls and processes are in place and being followed
• Bring recommendations for process improvements to Manager
Additional Implementation Responsibilities as defined by the engagement
• Assist with the conversion and implementation process from third-party products
• Assist with end user training to client staff
• Assist with custom documentation as needed by clients
Position Requirements
• Bachelors degree desired
• 5+ years professional experience
