This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Accounting Supervisor - REMOTE. In this role, you will lead an accounting team, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of financial data to meet our client’s needs. Your leadership will shape the team's effectiveness and foster a culture of excellence in financial reporting and compliance. Your expertise in accounting practices will contribute significantly to our client satisfaction and operational success. Additionally, you will be responsible for enhancing team performance through training and development initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Liaison with customers' corporate staff
• Supervise Staff Accountants & Accounting Assistant, including recruitment and training
• Approve & track team member's Personal Development Objectives (PDO)
• Supervise or perform daily bank reconciliations
• Review daily or monthly journal entries
• Manage payroll journal entries and accounts payable for coding accuracy
• Compile month-end questions and reportable events based on client schedules
• Post monthly recurring entries and prepare financial statements
• Conduct analytical reviews of income statements before client release
• Assist with monthly reconciliation of asset & liability accounts
Requirements
• Bachelor's in Accounting from an accredited school
• 2+ years of experience as Staff Accountant
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience with prior supervisory experience
• Proficiency in Accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics GP, QuickBooks)
