Job Summary
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of data warehousing solutions that enable business insights and drive growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, gather requirements, and develop solutions that meet those needs. Your expertise in data engineering, data warehousing, and business intelligence will be essential in helping us make data-driven decisions and drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Plan and develop effective, easy-to-use applications, reports, and dashboards utilizing BI tools like Microstrategy and SAS.
- Collaboration and Solution Development: Cooperate with leaders to identify needs and gather requirements. Provide solutions by building tools, reports, and predictive models. Automate reporting as needed.
- Research and Best Practices: Research and report best practices and standards for utilizing BI instruments. Provide insight into industry trends.
- Data Integration: Join, arrange, and automate datasets from various sources, including contact centers, e-commerce, transactional, supply chain, and operational sources.
- Data Warehouse Management: Sew and relocate different client-related data sources into Google BigQuery, maintaining the data warehouse, scheduling and performing QA, and providing impromptu announcements.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with BI tools like Microstrategy and SAS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret business needs into technical specifications.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Google BigQuery and data integration.
- Knowledge of Windstream and data warehousing.
- Experience in the retail industry.
- Strong understanding of data governance and data quality.
