Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the implementation of automation, improving service health, manageability, reliability, and telemetry. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying opportunities and driving the implementation of automation to improve service health, manageability, reliability, and telemetry.
- Designing, scripting, and configuring end-to-end service telemetry, alerting, and self-healing capabilities for platforms.
- Owning, triaging, investigating, and resolving service issues with an emphasis on broad communication, learning, and teaching throughout the process.
- Authoring functional and technical documentation, and communicating on a deep technical level with product engineering, project management, and operations teams to improve and optimize products, infrastructure, and services.
- Remaining current on new technologies, methods, and procedures, including coding practices such as Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 6+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
- OR a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, AND 3+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
- OR a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, AND 2+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- 7+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
- OR a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, AND 4+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
- OR a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, AND 3+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
- OR a Doctorate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
