Senior Staff Tax Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Staff Tax Accountant to join our boutique CPA team in South Denver! We are seeking a self-starter who must possess attention to detail. Solid communication skills are a must for our senior staff tax accountant position. Individual must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, strong time-management, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of 5 years in tax preparation and 3 years reviewing tax returns. You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company. Responsibilities: • Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, individual and corporate taxes, and other financial reports • Research and correct financial account discrepancies • Perform tax return reviews, ensuring adherence to standard requirements and communicating with preparer to resolve discrepancies • Create new processes to improve work flow efficiency • Report analysis and findings to management team • Research and assist with tax laws, audits / notices • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts • Assist with bookkeeping and payroll accounts • Preparation of journal entries • Ability to prioritize work and work efficiently to ensure clients deadlines are met. ?Qualifications: • Previous experience in accounting and tax preparation a must! • Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools, Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite a plus • Detail and deadline-oriented • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Excellent communication skills We strive to take the stress out of taxes for our clients as well as serve them promptly.
