Tax Season Accounting Internship

We are a Seattle Area CPA firm seeking an intern immediately for the upcoming tax season. Our firm focuses on the tax and accounting needs of small businesses in the greater Seattle and Bellevue area. We offer our clients a variety of services in addition to tax preparation, such as tax consulting, business valuation, Quickbooks training, bookkeeping, and IRS guidance. The position would include working with senior level CPA’s to prepare tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065). This position will allow the intern to see the entire tax return process from when the client drops off their documents to when the return is e-filed with the IRS. The position may also include bookkeeping work, B&O preparation, payroll preparation, and accounting technical writing. Upon successful completion of the internship you may be eligible for a full time staff level position at a later date. A major reason for our internship program is it provides us a greater opportunity to find candidates for a permanent position. Some of our permanent CPAs started out as interns here. After completion of the internship, we will consider sponsoring you for an H1-B visa, if needed. We have done this before. Requirements: • At least Junior standing in credits at your university or college • Completion of at least one 300 or 400 level tax class • Must be available to work through the next tax season • Full or Part-time opportunities are available but must be able to work at least 20 hours per week • Lacerte tax software and QuickBooks software knowledge is a plus, but not required.
