Job Description:
• Coordinates all aspects of managing a donor in the workup process
• Assesses donor needs and develops support relationships
• Schedules and conducts health history screenings and donor information sessions
• Manages scheduling through the donor’s physical exam and medical clearance
• Completes tasks required for donation and manages documentation
• Contacts donors to assess recovery and determine if physician intervention is needed
• Responsible for removing donation barriers and managing adverse events
• Implements strategies for continuous process improvement
• Attends meetings and trainings as needed
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree within a health care related field
• Three years of experience interacting with patients, clients, or customers in a healthcare, nonprofit, or business setting
• Flexibility in working hours based on donors’ needs, including non-traditional hours
• Intermediate computer skills including experience with Microsoft office software
• Ability to accurately and efficiently complete sensitive data forms
• Well-developed interpersonal skills for diverse cultural interactions
• Advanced communication skills for discussing sensitive information
• Strong customer service skills with active listening and empathy
• Ability to learn medical terminology and explain medical concepts in easy-to-understand terms
• Ability to thrive in rapidly changing circumstances
