YouTube Video Editor for Food Travel Lifestyle Content

About Me: I’m a lifestyle, food, and travel influencer with a strong background in beauty and haircare. My YouTube channel originally leaned heavily into hair tutorials (I was a hairstylist for 16+ years), but now my brand has evolved — and I’m ready for my channel to reflect that. I love creating vertical content, but I want to grow my YouTube presence with longer, cinematic-style videos around food, travel, lifestyle, and resets (morning routines, nighttime resets, date nights, road trips, foodie tours, etc.). What I’m Looking For: • A YouTube editor who has experience editing lifestyle, travel, food, and/or beauty content, ideally for women-focused brands. • Someone who understands editing for Black women’s audiences — pacing, tone, and style that connects with our culture without feeling cliché. • Creative and able to make videos feel engaging, fun, and binge-worthy. • Savvy with storytelling (not just cutting clips, but helping shape the flow). • Knowledge of YouTube best practices (hooks, pacing, watch retention) is a plus. Responsibilities: • Edit 2–4 YouTube videos per month (10–15 min range). • Add captions, transitions, music, and graphics where needed. • Create thumbnails (bonus, not required, but helpful). • Take raw vertical content and repurpose/expand into horizontal for YouTube. Style I’m Going For: • Clean, modern edits. • Fun, creative touches without being overproduced. • Think “documentary-lite meets lifestyle vlog.” • Examples: [insert a couple of creators you like]. Budget: Open to discussion depending on experience and turnaround, but looking for someone long-term who can grow with my channel.
