Property Management Accountant

Job Overview As a Property Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of our property management division. You will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. What you’ll do • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy in financial reporting • Utilize accounting software such as AppFolio to streamline financial operations • Perform cash flow analysis and budgeting to support strategic decision-making • Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret financial reports and provide insights for operational improvements Basic qualifications • Strong understanding of financial concepts, including double-entry bookkeeping and accrual accounting Preferred qualifications • Experience with Property Management Accounting and software • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and securities law principles • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for advanced data analysis and reporting tasks Why you’ll love it here We are dedicated to fostering an environment where our team members can thrive both personally and professionally.
