This role will sit in our upcoming Atlanta office, with the expectation that the successful candidate will reside in the Atlanta metro area and spend 50% of their month in-office. This role is not open to remote candidates. Responsibilities • Implementing the MALPB's Compliance Management System, including tailoring and implementing the corporate CMS for the unique regulatory requirements of a Georgia-chartered bank. • Implementing a robust issues management program to track, escalate, and remediate compliance-related findings. • Developing a systematic change management process to proactively identify, assess, and manage compliance risks associated with new or changing products, services, technologies, and regulations. • Contributing to the development and execution of a comprehensive compliance monitoring and testing program to assess the effectiveness of internal controls. • Developing management information reports for the board and management on the status of the compliance program. Requirements • Approximately 7 years of experience in a regulatory compliance role within a bank or other financial institution. • In-depth knowledge of compliance management systems, including issues management, change management, and monitoring and testing methodologies. • Experience with merchant acquiring, payments processing, or other high-volume financial services. • Familiarity with the regulatory environment of banks, including state and federal agency handbooks and guidance. • Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for management. • Experience with a state or federally regulated financial institution. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders. • A proactive and independent work style with a keen attention to detail. • A problem-solver who is comfortable with a fast-paced environment and enthusiastic about applying innovative, technology-focused solutions to compliance challenges. Nice-to-haves • Experience with a new bank or a startup environment. • Experience in a technology-forward environment, comfortable with the application of new and innovative technology to regulatory compliance solutions. • Experience with compliance risk assessments. • Professional compliance certifications (e.g., CRCM).
