Senior Systems Engineer - Tracking Systems (Remote)

Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has multiple long-term contract openings for Senior Advanced Systems Engineer with Tracking Systems experience for a DoD program. You will be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system. Key responsibilities: - Collaborate with customers, mission partners, and other key stakeholders to translate requirements into robust system designs within a fast-moving timeline. - Decomposition of end-to-end system requirements into architecture, design, interfaces, and test cases - Coordination with developers and integration and test teams to ensure component development meet system mission needs. We are seeking SE's with an active DoD Secret local to Scottsdale, AZ or remote. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: - Ground system design or scheduling knowledge - Tracking mission design knowledge - Satellite communications knowledge - Ground to Satellite communication knowledge - System/Software design for cloud-based microservice architecture Required Skills - Must be US Citizen due to government requirement - Must have an active DoD Secret at time of hire. - Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. - Agile experience preferred. Technical Background: - Systems Engineering: Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, design behavior with emphasis on: - Software/Systems engineering: Experience decomposing the high-level space-ground systems design into ground software/systems design. - Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE):--Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as, CAMEO or MagicDraw. - Programming and Tools Skills:--Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and MATLAB, including for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling. - Cloud Computing:--Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment. Simulation and Modeling:--Background in simulation and modeling analysis with tools like STK, particularly in aerospace applications a plus Apply tot his job
